Priory Medical Group is a longstanding multisite GP practice in North Tyneside. Our branches are located in North Shields, Tynemouth and Hadrian Park.
We are a part of the North Shields Primary Care Network; a group of four GP practices in North Shields working together with other health and social care providers and the voluntary sector with the aim of continually improving our community services in a sustainable way, that really makes a difference to the health and wellbeing of people living in North Shields and the surroundings areas.
Priory Medical Group offer a broad range of NHS services for our patients and aim to provide an efficient and caring service, offering high-quality primary care services for all our patients.
We are an innovative and adaptive team, developing the care we offer, particularly in regard to long-term conditions, diabetes management, respiratory health services and more.
We work closely with local health visitors, district nurses and the midwife team (this is available from our Hadrian Park & North Shields surgery) as well as offering our own First Contact physiotherapist and mental health worker. We also work closely with the social prescribing team within our PCN.
We have our own in-house pharmacy team, working with patients and alongside community pharmacies and our own in-house clinical team to offer best practice and personalised care.
In 2025, we created our own Long-Term conditions administrative team, based on patient feedback, to improve patient care and offer a dedicated and streamlined service. You can find out more about this in our services section on our website.
We are a teaching and training practice, giving student's hands-on experience in-practice; cultivating their minds and supporting them in their future with the NHS.
We give patients the opportunity to participate in research opportunities thanks to having our own research lead within our PCN.
We work in partnership with our patients to ensure the very best patient experience and care. Alongside our Patient Participation Group, we adapt and implement change, listen to feedback and ensure we are future proofing care for our patients and our communities.
